Good Friend Apothecary began with a simple belief: that God has provided us with an abundance of herbs and plants through His creation, and that these gifts can be thoughtfully used to support the well-being of our families and communities.
Based in Summerhill, New York, and proudly serving customers throughout Cayuga County, Central New York, and beyond, Good Friend Apothecary was founded from a passion for herbal traditions, handcrafted wellness products, and sharing nature's gifts with family, friends, and community.
As a Hispanic American wife and mother, I have always loved plants and felt drawn to the beauty and wisdom found in nature. In 2015, I began studying the traditional uses of herbs and plants, eager to learn more about the gifts God has placed within His creation. What started as a personal interest soon grew into a lifelong passion for herbal wellness and natural living.
As I studied herbs and their traditional uses, I became increasingly inspired by the wisdom found in God's creation. Scripture reminds us in Genesis 1:29:
"I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth..."
These words continue to guide the heart of Good Friend Apothecary today.
In 2020, I began creating herbal tinctures, balms, salves, teas, and other botanical preparations for family and friends. Whether someone was seeking comfort during seasonal changes, support for everyday wellness, or simply a more natural approach to self-care, I was grateful for the opportunity to share the herbal preparations I had come to trust and appreciate.
Over time, family and friends began requesting more products and sharing them with their loved ones. Their encouragement inspired me to transform my passion into a business rooted in faith, family, and craftsmanship.
Today, every tea blend, tincture, glycerite, balm, and salve is handcrafted in small batches using thoughtfully selected herbs and quality ingredients. Each product is created with care, attention to detail, and gratitude for the plants God has provided through His creation.
My mission is simple: to honor God, steward His creation responsibly, and provide handcrafted herbal products that encourage families to embrace a slower, more intentional approach to wellness. I believe that some of God's greatest gifts can be found in the plants He created, and I am honored to share those gifts with others.
